Function
Benzamide is an intermediate in the Benzoate degradation via CoA ligation. Benzamides are a class of chemical compounds derived from Benzamid, the carbonic acid amide of benzoic acid. In psychiatry some substituted benzamides are therapeutically used as neuroleptics and/or antipsychotics.
